HOUR TWO: Bozeman student grades are improving in math and science, public target shooting ranges in the country proposed, MSU and the Bozeman City Commission on transportation, recycling, affordable housing and more. Buffalo treaty to help bison, MSU and Indigenous People’s Day celebration.
HOUR THREE: Guest Bozeman City Commissioner Jeff Krauss: The meeting with MSU students including questions, “Do you feel safe in Bozeman?” and “Do you fit in in Bozeman?” We also talked about the taxation of the K-Mart space along with Best Western and 4-B’s. Should the Washington whistleblower’s identity be revealed? Shane and Tom disagree.
HOUR TWO: A caller had a question about legal guardians for seniors, property taxes and Prop. 13 were also a hot topic. A caller opposes the new proposed law and justice center. A New York court ruling came down for Trump to release 8 years of tax returns – they will appeal that ruling.
HOUR THREE: Property taxes and what they are used for was also a popular topic this morning. Tom goes after a Vietnam War protester. School trust fund and how school bonds and property taxes fit together to fund schools and the rest of Gallatin Valley expenses. A caller wanted to know if we could change Fox News for some other news source.

HOUR ONE: Tom and Shane are back but due to an internet outage there’s no poll question today. The quick change in the weather and snowfall was a hot topic. In Livingston new Chamber Board Members chosen after the previous board resigned in mass, meth use growing in Montana, hemp arrests in Idaho, gold mining in South Dakota by Canadian company.
HOUR TWO: Guest Deanna Campbell speaking about an upcoming fundraiser “Movie Night in Nepal” for a birth center in Nepal. The event will be Thursday, Oct. 3 – 6:30pm at Hager Auditorium, Museum of the Rockies. For more information go to chayyausa.org. Tom has travel issues and some fun problems with his GPS locator.
HOUR THREE: Trump impeachment pretty well dominated the final two hours of today’s show. Healthcare was another topic that got callers and texters to comment. Will impeachment go anywhere is anyone’s guess.

Simply put, a 1031 Exchange allows the owner of an investment property to sell that property and buy another “like-kind” property, thus deferring the payment of state and federal capital gains taxes. Other topics included why aren’t tariffs affecting inflation and the hog disease in China that has killed half of their 400 million hogs.
